<Open Grade Doubles>

For elite or competitive players

①Open Men’s Doubles (MD), ②Open Women’s Doubles (WD), ③Open Mixed Doubles (XD)

Combined age of 70 years (each player must be at least 30 years old)

Combined age of 80 years (each player must be at least 35 years old)

Combined age of 90 years (each player must be at least 40 years old)

Combined age of 100 years (each player must be at least 45 years old)

Combined age of 110 years (each player must be at least 50 years old)

Combined age of 120 years (each player must be at least 55 years old)

Combined age of 130 years (each player must be at least 60 years old)

Combined age of 140 years (each player must be at least 65 years old)

<Recreational Grade Doubles>

For non-competitive players such as casual or entry-level

④Men’s Doubles Recreational(MDR), ⑤Women’s Doubles Recreational(WDR)

Combined age of 70 years (each player must be at least 30 years old)

Combined age of 80 years (each player must be at least 35 years old)

Combined age of 90 years (each player must be at least 40 years old)

Combined age of 100 years (each player must be at least 45 years old)

The above ages are as on January 1st, 2020 Age table

One person may enter in up to 2 events (“MD & XD”, “MD & M3P”, etc).
One person can enter neither in 2 different age categories of one event (“XD100+ & XD110+” etc),
nor in both of “XD & 3P”.

The classifications completely follow player’s applications.
The organizer will not bear any responsibility for classification of players.

7.Number of places

Men’s Doubles Open (MD) 90 teams in total of all the age groups

Women’s Doubles Open (WD) 90 teams in total of all the age groups

Mixed Doubles Open(XD) 168 teams in total of all the age groups

Men’s Doubles Recreational (MDR) 30 teams in total of all the age groups

Women’s Doubles Recreational (WDR) 30 teams in total of all the age groups

Men’s 3P (M3P) 24 teams in total of all the age groups

Women’s 3P (W3P) 24 teams in total of all the age groups

Additional participants may be acknowledged by the organizer depending on the application status.

8.Competition rules

The rules are in accordance with the BWF competition rules and tournament management regulations.

9.Style of Competition

Tournament-style contest after the group league matches.

All the matches are carried out by 21 points × 3 games system.

(Maximum extension of a game is up to 30 points)

11.Entry qualifications

It does not matter whether or not participants are registered in any association.

Please apply according to the age restrictions (combined age and minimum age) for each event

12.Draw

Will be handled by the organizer.

13.Entry fee
One doubles pair composed of overseas only6,000 yen per a doubles team
(3,000 yen per one player)
One doubles pair composed of Japanese only10,000 yen per a doubles team
(5,000 yen per one player)
One doubles pair of Japanese and overseas8,000 yen per a doubles team
(5,000 yen /overseas + 3,000 yen /Japanese)
One 3P team composed of any players9,000 yen per a 3P team
(3,000 yen per one player)
14.Payment

Overseas players should remit the entry fee with PayPal service.

When you receive the invoice, please remit it by the due date.

Payment due date: No later than January 31 (Fri), 2020.

Once transferred, the entry fee will not be refunded for any reason.

Your entry will be officially registered when your payment is confirmed.

15.Entry application period

December 4(Wed) 2019 to January 31(Fri) 2020

Applications will be handled on a first-come first-served basis during the application period.

16.Entry application

Entry application for all events are already closed.
Appreciate for so many entries.

17.Awards

Champion, Runner-up, and the third-places in each event and category will receive a prize.

There is no match for third place.

18.Accommodation and lunchboxes

Accommodation and lunchboxes will be provided. Please see the accommodation guide on the official website. https://omotenashicup.com

19.Get-together dinner

Get-together dinner will be arranged at 19:00-21:00 on 12th April(Sun).

The details of the dinner will be announced by the end of January.

20.Umpire and line judges

At the group league matches, the umpires are provided by the organizer, but the line judges should be done by defeated players.

At finals, the umpires and the line judges should be arranged by the organizer.

21.Clothing

There is no restriction on competition clothing.

22.Manager meeting

No manager meeting will be held.

  1. All the personal information given on the entry form will be used only for the management of the tournament. The tournament results will be disclosed on the official website.
  2. The organizer will provide first-aid treatment for any injury or illness suffered during the tournament, but will not be responsible for further treatment. The organizer will take out an accident insurance.
